For owners who want to get started with their managers.
This workshop is for owners and managing directors of medium-sized businesses. You bring your managers or main business leaders together, and you decide where data and AI could make a useful difference.
You don’t need an AI project chosen beforehand. Start from the work that is already taking time.
Scattered information
Updates live in inboxes, spreadsheets and different systems. When the full picture is hard to see, sales, service and decisions all take longer.
Inconsistent sales follow-up
Follow-up depends on someone remembering. Enquiries can slip through, which can mean fewer sales.
Repetitive admin
Your team copies information and works around tools that don’t work well together. That time could be spent with customers.
Slow payment follow-up
Job records, invoices and chasing what’s owed sit in different places. Getting paid can take longer than it should.
We’ll explore opportunities to increase sales, keep customers happy, reduce admin and get paid faster.

An experienced guide in the room
You don’t need another list of tools. You need your managers in the room, and someone who can help the group decide which starting projects are worth pursuing.
I’m Barry James, founder of Blink Blue. I bring more than 25 years’ experience in technology, data and AI, including as Director of Data & AI at Nucleo, Head of IT and Data at Clúid Housing, and Enterprise Data Architect at Irish Water.
I bring that experience to the workshop. We start from the problem you want to solve, and look at what your existing tools, data and team can support.
Practical advice. A useful starting point. A decision you can make with your managers.
What happens in the workshop
For two hours, on site, you and your managers work through the issues with Barry.
Understand what’s getting in the way
Look at the relevant business frustrations and the data pain points behind them.
Explore where data and AI could help
Consider useful opportunities in the work you already do, including sales, customers, admin and getting paid.
Identify suitable starting projects
Name the projects that look worth pursuing, without needing a finished plan before you arrive.
Prioritise and agree first actions
Put the opportunities in order and establish clear first actions for the ones you want to take further.
Afterwards
Barry prepares a tailored written summary of the discussion, the prioritised opportunities and a menu of recommended next steps. Where a task is clearly defined, that summary may include an indicative price. More complex work needs further scoping before a quote can be provided.
Illustrative example
A tailored written summary
Prioritised opportunities and recommended next steps. The number and the detail depend on the discussion.
Make sales follow-up consistent
Opportunity: Keep enquiries and next actions in one place.
Recommended next step: Agree the sales stages and who owns each follow-up.
Reduce repeat admin
Opportunity: Simplify a task that involves copying information between systems.
Recommended next step: Map the task and see what the existing tools can already do.
Example next step
Agree an owner and a next action for open sales enquiries.
How it works
01
Confirm it’s a good fit
Have a short conversation with Barry to confirm the workshop is right for your business.
02
Bring the managers together
Agree a date and bring the relevant managers together for the two-hour, on-site workshop.
03
Decide what to pursue
Receive the tailored written summary and recommended next steps, then decide what to pursue.
Look at the work before choosing a tool
In the room, we’ll look at how the relevant work happens, the information people rely on, and what would need to be in place for a change to help. That keeps the discussion on your business, rather than on a new tool for its own sake.
The workshop helps your team choose a useful starting point. Any further discovery or implementation work is scoped, quoted and agreed separately.
Leave with a shared starting point
Leave with shared priorities, clear first actions and a better basis for deciding where to invest.
Afterwards you have the tailored written summary and recommended next steps, so you can decide what to take further and what to leave.

Questions
Do we need to arrive with an AI project already chosen?
No. You do not need a project picked out in advance. We’ll start from the work and the frustrations in the business, then look at where data and AI could help.
Who should attend?
The owner or managing director should attend, with the managers or business leaders closest to the relevant challenges.
Is the written summary included in the price?
Yes. The tailored written summary and recommended next steps are included in the €750 plus VAT price.
Will you implement the recommendations?
Yes—Blink Blue can help implement suitable recommendations through separately agreed work. Implementation is not included in the workshop price.
What if an opportunity needs more investigation?
Where an opportunity needs further investigation, I may recommend separately agreed paid discovery. That is to understand the requirements and scope the work before quoting for implementation. The workshop is not a technical audit, and it does not include a fully scoped plan.
